So much space with over six miles of sandy shoreline, it's great for families who want to have a lot of space. There are not a lot of hotels near Jones Beach but Allegria Hotel is a nice looking 4-star hotel near Long Beach only 10 miles away! Overlooking the Long Island beachfront!

Bethany Beach is a quieter alternative to Rehoboth, offering a peaceful family-friendly atmosphere. The wide, sandy beach is perfect for relaxing, while the nearby boardwalk provides dining and shopping options. Ocean City, Maryland Family Beach Trips

Ocean City is a classic beach destination with a famous boardwalk, amusement parks, and miles of sandy shores. We visited during the pandemmy so it wasn't that busy but I have heard it can get quite busy in the peak summer weekends. I am showing this ariel view so you can see how traffic can get difficult on peak days. But on the plus side, wonderful wide beaches and calmer waters!

Assateague Island - Our Family's Favorite Place to See Wild Beach Ponies!

Assateague Island is known for its wild horses and natural beauty and our family had a wonderful visit and even saw a bunch of wild ponies! Family-Friendly Hotel: We actually stayed in Bethany Beach at the Ocean Suites Residence Inn by Marriott when we visited Assateague and it worked out great as it's only 23 miles away. If you want to be closer, check out Dunes Suites Oceanfront, just a short drive from Assateague Island, with an indoor pool, complimentary breakfast, and easy access to both Ocean City and Assateague Island.

Kid-Friendly Restaurant: Harborside Bar & Grill in nearby in West Ocean City, Harborside offers a family-friendly menu with seafood, sandwiches, and their famous orange crush cocktails for adults.
